The battles are raging, the rockets and cannons are firing, all forces military and civilian have been mobilized and Clara Barton can't wait for the battle to stop for her to rush out onto the battle field to attend to the wounded. These photos depict worlds at war, war that were created by those who fought them but my those who refused to fight them.
During World War Two, America good fight against fascism, and the Russian Peoples Great Patriotic War again invading fascist hordes, during Great Britain's finest hour in the Battle for Britain there were many who were not Nazis who sided with the Nazis in Ireland, Burma and India amongst others for twisted and perverse reasons that one can only determine as founded in hate. As I neither love war nor hate it and attempt to balance my perspectives regarding it I am a realist not an idealist, I principled as well as pragmatic unlike many of my left wing colleagues many of which have been tainted by rightwing and anti-Semitic rhetoric. ***

Carefully listening to speakers at the GOP convention with diligence and insight one is reminded every major scandal that has rocked the United States in the last forty years:
From Nixon, to Ford, to Reagan, Bush, GW Bush and John McCain.
One is reminded of the totally empty bankrupt promises of the Republican party, its demagogy, lies and distortions.
From Rudi Giuliani to McCain, Huckabee, Romney, there are no virtues in what for Republicans is an incestuous inside joke in their hate fest of ignorance and jingoism.
The Republican Party has long lost any proper basis of an American political party as they dictate in a one sided manner what is if it were all too serious nothing more than a joke in a travesty that should shame honest Republicans.
One has to ask that since they have so far succeeded based on lies and distortions then they will continue to do so. In hearing from Republican descriptions of doublespeak referring to a “liberal media” one is unsure as to they speak of the media in general or some specific portion of the media. Surely if the refer to the media in general one should wonder which country they are speaking of certainly not of the United States where the media has more and more consolidated under the umbrellas of giant billion dollar media corporations catering to the rich and a that has become corrupt under their leadership from top to bottom.

If one want to find a summary of all the pure lies and distortions the American have to endure in their day to day lives all one has to do is to chronicle Republican Party propaganda.
The Republican Party advertisements do not rise to the level of the Nazis of Hitler, nor those of the fascists and Mussolini but in essence perhaps they surpass them .
Where Barrack Obama stated at the Democratic Party convention that he would reduce taxes for 95% of the American people the Republican party advertisements for John McCain stated the complete opposite.
Where the George W Bush administration had come into office with the benefit of the country’s greatest surplus and without a deficit, and through mismanagement created the greatest deficit and had to borrow money from a long list of countries such as the Arabian States, China, Russia, and Mexico:
The John McCain Republican Party advertisements lie in claiming that the Democrats and Barrack Obama would create deficits and tax and spend policies when it is they the Republicans who they are talking about.
In issue after issue John McCain and the Republican Party must be made accountable for their lies and distortions in that they blame the Democrats, for what in actually the Republicans have done and put the nation at risk.
In the reality of the Republican Party, John McCain, and American Fascism and its police state was exposed not by some small cliché of petty bourgeois leftist intellectuals arguing as to exactly is fascism but by the very specific actions of right wingers truncheon batons, stun guns, tear gas, spies, provocateurs, lies and distortions.
Suppressing the protests of the democratic movement in the United States at the Republican Party Convention 2008 in St Paul Minnesota is merely another milestone in the reactionary history of the United State in repression that exists not by words but by very real action within time and space and reality.
Where the Republican Party is the main political party of reaction in the United States on the other hand they have received the generous assistance of the likes of Democrats like Joe Lieberman, and the lackluster acts of perhaps well meaning people like Al Gore, and John Kerry.
Where many of the leftist cliques that exist and control the left today are nothing more than PAPER TIGERS as Mao Tse Tung labeled them the right wing rules by default. Petty bourgeois intellectuals and their arguments are all well and good if only those were taken out of the physical material reality of time and space and placed solely with the realm of the intellect.
The long time progressive journalist Amy Goodman was thrown to the ground and arrested. Other journalists were arrested, and many people were arrested not for what they did, but preemptively for what they could do.
While the federal intelligence establishment spies online with both live online spies, and by high tech intrusions tapping people electronic online devices, as they like the Chinese security at the 2008 Beijing Olympics turn on devices that their owners shut off so as to tap those devices and more.

McCain who “has opposed proposals to spend federal money on teen-pregnancy prevention programs and voted to require poor teen mothers to stay in school or lose their benefits.” Hypocritically McCain supports programs that would of made his running mate an unwed single mother who would also be a high school drop outs on one hand or lacking in their motherly duties and the Republican Party divides and splits hairs on the issues.

John McCain has within hours picked a right wing conservative extremist as his Vice-president running mate one heart beat away from the presidency of the United States. In what is purely a political move to satisfy the Republican party’s very vocal and active right wing he picked the governor of Alaska (one of the most unusual untypical and corrupt states in the United States).
John McCain has made himself the poster boy in an attempt to unite all factions right of center within the Republican Party with all the delusionary pretenses of alleged reformism, his party is heir to the business as usual party as Republicans who have been in control of Washington.

As Satan himself John McCain has created himself as all things to all people obscured in the rhetoric of Republican Party ads based on distortions of Barack Obama the Democratic Party and certainly the issues.
What the American people need are leadership education and discussion on the issues relating to that alone the Republican party has dismally and sadly failed it is a fast food of form without healthy substance.
For the most part McCain Supporters know relatively little if not nothing about John McCain!
My first windfall related to the 2008 presidential election was when I won $10 from a McCain supporter who wrongly thought McCain had been the governor of Arizona when that was the farthest thing from the truth, and undoubtedly they will say he single handed would of won the pointless war against Vietnam and the Vietnamese if only those weak bleeding heart liberals would of not been communist sympathizers and dupes because of course in their world of propaganda everything is white and black, good and evil.
American politics, religion, and philosophy is shallow for the most part because there is relatively no profit where there is no money and profits to be made.
Many Christians, Catholics, don’t even know their own bibles so as to distinguish good theology from bad, or Protestant biblical verse from Catholic ones.
They can not distinguish “thou shall not kill” from “thou shall not murder” nor actually make sense of it all in the twisted world of an intellect that for the most part stops developing when free public or parochial education ends.
One of my neighborhood postmen insisted that the right to life extended to undeveloped unborn fetuses but not to those fetuses which were born ill prepared for this world and were sentenced to be executed and death by the state.
So he and many say they can not vote for Barack Obama because Obama supports women rights to choose for themselves whether to have an abortion or not, and in that generally the Democratic Party opposes the death penalty.

McCain (as in Cain and Able) clearly is not a pro-life candidate when he as an Air Force pilot during the US war against Vietnamese people had no qualm at bombing thousands of innocent civilians by the push of a button from his death machine flying at high speed passing the real world at high speed.
What are the main questions related to candidiates?
Am I my brother’s keeper?
Am I providing leadership?
Am I facilitating understanding?
Am I honest?

Little-Known Palin May Be Benefit or Bust for McCain's Campaign

Aug. 30 (Bloomberg) -- John McCain's decision to pass up conventional candidates and pick little-known, first-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for the Republican ticket may appeal to undecided voters McCain needs to win. It also may blunt McCain's charges that Democrat Barack Obama isn't experienced enough for the White House.
Palin, 44, who wasn't high on conventional-wisdom rankings of potential vice presidential candidates, may soothe social conservatives in her own party and may appeal to some disappointed Hillary Clinton backers. She's younger than Obama, who is 47, and has served less than half of her first term as governor.
``It's either a grand-slam home run or it'll turn out to be a bust,'' said Stu Rothenberg, editor of the Rothenberg Political Report in Washington. The answer will be clear over the next few days, he said.
Palin opposes abortion rights and supports gun ownership, two core Republican issues. She also has no ties to George W. Bush, an advantage as McCain seeks to distance himself from the unpopular president.
Palin, who has a background in energy policy, was elected governor in 2006 by challenging Alaska's Republican leadership and vowing to clean up a government corruption scandal.
``As governor, I've stood up to the old politics as usual, to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good-old-boy network,'' she said at a rally yesterday in Dayton, Ohio, where she was introduced by McCain.
``She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics,'' McCain said.
`Off the Table'
Former Senator Tom Daschle, a South Dakota Democrat and leading Obama advocate, said McCain's selection will make it more difficult for the Arizona senator to fault Obama for a lack of experience.
``It takes the whole experience issue off the table,'' Daschle said.
The next few days will be a critical test for Palin as the media and critics dig through her record, said Fordham University political scientist Costas Panagopoulos.
``Palin will face intense scrutiny by the media and by voters who need assurance that she is ready to assume the presidency at a moment's notice, if necessary,'' Panagopoulos said.
McCain's choice was applauded by social conservatives.
``We have a pro-life, pro-family ticket,'' said Roberta Combs, president of the Christian Coalition of America. ``It's going to galvanize conservative evangelicals across the country.''
Skittish About McCain
Abortion foes have been skittish about McCain, who supports stem-cell research and has said he wants to broaden the party's plank on abortion to include exceptions in cases of rape and when the life of the mother is at risk.
Palin is a member of Feminists for Life, a group that works to make health-care and child-care resources available to ``pregnant or parenting students,'' according to the group's Web site.
``All the conservatives are happy, yet she kind of offers a working-class Republican ethos, which we wouldn't have gotten with Mitt Romney,'' said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian at Rice University in Houston.
McCain's selection of Palin is also aimed at wooing female supporters of Clinton, some of whom have been reluctant to line up behind Obama after a protracted primary battle.
Palin is the second woman to be chosen as a major-party nominee for vice president. The first, then-Representative Geraldine Ferraro of New York, was nominated by the Democrats in 1984.
`Glass Ceiling'
``Many Hillary Clinton supporters are desperate to break the glass ceiling for women,'' said Brinkley.
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano said McCain shouldn't assume women will vote Republican just because a female is on the ticket.
``The burden of proof, if anything, is a little bit higher, so I think there is a little miscalculation on that assumption,'' Napolitano said in an interview on Bloomberg Television's ``Conversations with Judy Woodruff.''
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi highlighted Palin's anti-abortion stance.
``She shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies,'' Pelosi said in a statement.
Energy industry groups lauded Palin's selection, saying it reopened the possibility the U.S. could begin allowing drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Record Prices
McCain has said he opposes opening the refuge to drilling, although new emphasis has been placed on domestic oil production as prices reached records this summer. Oil hit a record $147.27 on July 11.
Palin, a former beauty queen, high school basketball star and television sportscaster, began her political career in the 1990s as a city councilwoman and then mayor in her home town of Wasilla. The town's estimated population in 2007 was 9,780, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Considered a rising political star by state Republican leaders, she was appointed in 2003 to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, a significant body in the energy-rich state.
Her biggest test may be proving her intellect, said Michael O'Hanlon, a foreign policy expert at Washington's Brookings Institution.
``Since we all know there's nothing there in terms of national security, does she have the intellectual ability to get up to speed quickly?'' he said. ``We're going to have to get a feel for how smart she is.''

Little-Known Palin May Be Benefit or Bust for McCain's Campaign

Aug. 30 (Bloomberg) -- John McCain's decision to pass up conventional candidates and pick little-known, first-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for the Republican ticket may appeal to undecided voters McCain needs to win. It also may blunt McCain's charges that Democrat Barack Obama isn't experienced enough for the White House.
Palin, 44, who wasn't high on conventional-wisdom rankings of potential vice presidential candidates, may soothe social conservatives in her own party and may appeal to some disappointed Hillary Clinton backers. She's younger than Obama, who is 47, and has served less than half of her first term as governor.
``It's either a grand-slam home run or it'll turn out to be a bust,'' said Stu Rothenberg, editor of the Rothenberg Political Report in Washington. The answer will be clear over the next few days, he said.
Palin opposes abortion rights and supports gun ownership, two core Republican issues. She also has no ties to George W. Bush, an advantage as McCain seeks to distance himself from the unpopular president.
Palin, who has a background in energy policy, was elected governor in 2006 by challenging Alaska's Republican leadership and vowing to clean up a government corruption scandal.
``As governor, I've stood up to the old politics as usual, to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good-old-boy network,'' she said at a rally yesterday in Dayton, Ohio, where she was introduced by McCain.
``She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics,'' McCain said.
`Off the Table'
Former Senator Tom Daschle, a South Dakota Democrat and leading Obama advocate, said McCain's selection will make it more difficult for the Arizona senator to fault Obama for a lack of experience.
``It takes the whole experience issue off the table,'' Daschle said.
The next few days will be a critical test for Palin as the media and critics dig through her record, said Fordham University political scientist Costas Panagopoulos.
``Palin will face intense scrutiny by the media and by voters who need assurance that she is ready to assume the presidency at a moment's notice, if necessary,'' Panagopoulos said.
McCain's choice was applauded by social conservatives.
``We have a pro-life, pro-family ticket,'' said Roberta Combs, president of the Christian Coalition of America. ``It's going to galvanize conservative evangelicals across the country.''
Skittish About McCain
Abortion foes have been skittish about McCain, who supports stem-cell research and has said he wants to broaden the party's plank on abortion to include exceptions in cases of rape and when the life of the mother is at risk.
Palin is a member of Feminists for Life, a group that works to make health-care and child-care resources available to ``pregnant or parenting students,'' according to the group's Web site.
``All the conservatives are happy, yet she kind of offers a working-class Republican ethos, which we wouldn't have gotten with Mitt Romney,'' said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian at Rice University in Houston.
McCain's selection of Palin is also aimed at wooing female supporters of Clinton, some of whom have been reluctant to line up behind Obama after a protracted primary battle.
Palin is the second woman to be chosen as a major-party nominee for vice president. The first, then-Representative Geraldine Ferraro of New York, was nominated by the Democrats in 1984.
`Glass Ceiling'
``Many Hillary Clinton supporters are desperate to break the glass ceiling for women,'' said Brinkley.
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano said McCain shouldn't assume women will vote Republican just because a female is on the ticket.
``The burden of proof, if anything, is a little bit higher, so I think there is a little miscalculation on that assumption,'' Napolitano said in an interview on Bloomberg Television's ``Conversations with Judy Woodruff.''
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi highlighted Palin's anti-abortion stance.
``She shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies,'' Pelosi said in a statement.
Energy industry groups lauded Palin's selection, saying it reopened the possibility the U.S. could begin allowing drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Record Prices
McCain has said he opposes opening the refuge to drilling, although new emphasis has been placed on domestic oil production as prices reached records this summer. Oil hit a record $147.27 on July 11.
Palin, a former beauty queen, high school basketball star and television sportscaster, began her political career in the 1990s as a city councilwoman and then mayor in her home town of Wasilla. The town's estimated population in 2007 was 9,780, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Considered a rising political star by state Republican leaders, she was appointed in 2003 to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, a significant body in the energy-rich state.
Her biggest test may be proving her intellect, said Michael O'Hanlon, a foreign policy expert at Washington's Brookings Institution.
``Since we all know there's nothing there in terms of national security, does she have the intellectual ability to get up to speed quickly?'' he said. ``We're going to have to get a feel for how smart she is.''

Spelling and Literacy in Cuba and Nicaragua
The Hispanic spelling system used in Cuba was simple enough before Castro's revolution, but in 1953 with more than half the children unschooled, literacy rates were around 42% in urban areas and 23.6% overall. Castro's guerrilla manifesto of 1957 included an immediate literacy campaign, with the watchword 'Revolution and education are the same thing'.
The 1961 National Literacy Campaign reportedly reduced the level of illiteracy to 3.9%, but without their simple orthography, it might have had much less success. The straightforward spelling made it possible to use Paulo Freire's conscientisation techniques of teaching reading and writing with high-school students as teachers. However, with English spelling as it is, a similar teaching method could not be used to teach literacy in English-speaking schools - as a simple experiment would show.
Lessons began with thirty key politicising words containing all letters and speech sounds, broken down into syllables from which new words and sentences can be created. To introduce the vowels and consonants, the fifteen Hispanic phrases first taught were Organisation of American States (from which Cuba had just been expelled) National institute of agrarian reform, the co-operative farm, the land, Cuban fishermen, the people's store, every Cuban a home owner, healthy people in a free Cuba, national institute of tourism, the militia, the revolution that wins all the battles, the people at work, Cuba is not alone, the year of education, poetry and the alphabet.
The technique, easy enough for the teenage teachers (significantly, called 'alphabetisers') to learn to teach, was a compound method combining global aspects with analysis and synthesis, emphasising initial arousal of motivation, and ability to write from the start. Ensuring fast progress was the key to morale and learning, to avoid the longterm slogging such as is usually expected in an English adult education class. The final test for students was at second grade level, since from then on, because of the nature of Hispanic orthography, learners could study independently, although fourth grade was considered functional literacy. There was a national celebration of the first area completely literate, and a museum commemorates the whole campaign. Leiner cites evidence of virtual elimination of illiteracy by 1979, and rapid advances in modern science and engineering. The next battle was to raise the entire population up to 6th grade level, with a further aim in 1986 for 9th grade. Cuban success can be attributed primarily to enthusiasm, but also to the advantages of an accessible writing system, taught by a suitable method, with a pool already literate to teach the masses. Finance was of less significance.
However, literacy campaigns in indigenous languages on the Atlantic coast of Cuba ran into problems - showing the significance of the political element, but also the problems of English spelling.
Two ethnic groups spoke Miskito and Sumo which have practically phonemic orthographies, like Spanish, but a third group were English-speakers whose origins were Africa and Jamaica. The key phrases for all three groups were translations of the Spanish ones, but the English teachers found what an observer, Jane Freeland, described in 1981 as 'linguistic obstacles'. The first five lessons set words like revolution and fighters, with analogy patterns such as action/motion, right/night, workers/farmers in order to have component parts to recombine. When students produced new words using analogical spellings, explanations about English irregularity had to begin. An expedient was to combine words into sentences from the start, with function words learnt by sight, many matching exercises for key words and patterns, and rote drill for irregular spellings. All three programs suffered from the complexities and emergencies of the political situation - but more information is needed about what finally happened, and to compare the results of the English, Miskito and Sumo programs, with their similar social content and context but different orthographies.
Nicaragua also showed that rapid literacy is possible with a consistent orthography in a context of revolutionary enthusiasm.
Fifteen days after coming to power in 1979 the revolutionaries announced a six-months national literacy crusade to reduce the 60-90% rural illiteracy, using armies of high school students, and Freire techniques.
The first phrase taught was la revoluçion which contains all the vowels of the Spanish alphabet.
An observer, Sheryl Hirhson, found that the apparently ideal method still had difficulties. Teachers and peasants found that the first step of enthusing dialogue was the hardest, so that drills might be resorted to after all. Many learners grappled with letters, sounds and parts of words without understanding. Instead of being able to work out the program in co-operation with the peasants, the very young teachers were often forced back on to prepared texts.
Nevertheless in five months absolute illiteracy was reduced from 50% to 23% of the population aged over ten.
About 130,000 people remained apparently unteachable - which may give pause for thought about the possibility of universal literacy , but may be related to inadequate teaching and materials - but over 400,000 had 'learnt to read and write in a war-torn and devastated country' sufficiently to pass a final exam at 3rd grade level.

Super Delegates Nominate Hillary Clinton
The title some what fictitious but the reality of possibilities is not very far from the truth.
With all the misplaced enthusiasm of adolescent perceptions in a political reality stating the world is what it is supposed to be (but is not so don’t hold your breath) the world is held captive in the turmoil generated by a corporate media that seems to hold little value in truth.
To judge the world by the headlines of the corporate media and most others that maintain those views which hold us prisoner to falsehood:
Thinking that “Barack Obama has locked up the Democratic Party nomination for the 2008 Presidential election” in what is misplaced because in truth that is the farthest thing from the truth unless you support the business as usual crowd for maintaining the status quo.
“Barack Obama has locked up the Democratic Party nomination for the 2008 Presidential election “
Is that really so? Is that way the Democratic Party will do it? Or is that what some would have us think in what is the jockeying for positioning related to the final voting.
One Super delegate offered his vote for sale for supposed altruistic reasons I am sure he is not the only one.
What all the wonderful over paid, over educated, over played, over valued, and worthless spin doctors and pundits (mainly of the mainstream corporate media) fail to state is that due to the brilliance of the National Democratic Party and its rules:
Super delegates on which Barack Obama is based can vote for whom ever they feel like in views that can change as often as those delegates can change their mind in preference up until the moment they vote at the National Democratic Party Convention for as long as it takes to reach a successful conclusion.
Imagine the possible headlines:
“Super delegates nominate FDR to run again with Bonzo as his running mate, as FDR is brought back to life due to advanced DNA cloning”
I do not agree with the super delegate system but as a realistic observer I am cognizant of it as a reality of real circumstances not imagined ones.
In theory the super delegates do not have to vote for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
So why have so many mainstream media sources chosen to illuminate us with such falsehoods, to simplify the political landscape so we can receive their simplified views in what is once again dumb and dumber?
Surely they will rationalize truthfully that most likely delegates will do this and that but not once will they challenge the underpinnings of on which all that political trash and waste is based!
Why is it that the most complicated country in the world embroiled in every corner of the world with the most subversive of intrigues is summarized into the most simplistic of explanations that most of the time is simply untrue and false, unethical and immoral?
Let us ask what Jesus would do!
Let us ask what Buddha would say!
Let us ask what ET would say and do!
But most of all let us ask why has America declined to such a low point of ignorant discussion as is maintain in the mainstream media.
The fact of the matter is that without super delegates neither Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama has enough support to be nominated as the rules currently stand. As Barack Obama has 1,765½ delegates (52%) and Hillary Clinton 1,639½ (48%) with approx 690 super delegates deciding the outcome as it now stands though that means the Democratic Party is not expressing the will of the people but the established circles of power..
But who says that being democratic or republican means one is supposed to be fair and egalitarian?
But do I hear anyone except myself discussing or calling for the elimination of the super delegate system?
NOOOOOO!
The fact of the matter remains that if the super delegates decide in convention to change their votes to support Hillary Clinton she will become the Democratic Party’s nominee albeit one without a full mandate from the people just like Barack Obama will not have a mandate of the people if he was nominated on which grounds I oppose them as weak wasteful candidates currently destined for defeat.

What do the privileged offspring of celebrities and millionaires know about reality?
On another blog on this site here I came across another propaganda piece related to "Cuba":

In that questionable article on a questionable intelligence type of blog, a Mr. Marc Cooper is said to provide a valuable translation of synopsis that appeared, briefly, on cubanet.org in actuality the translation of such said translation at first glance is draw into question because of the limited context of what appears as purely an emotional outburst by not a celebrity, not the offspring of a celebrity, but the grandson of a celebrity whom we certainly have a right and obligation to examine.
Canek Sanchez Guevara allegedly states without context:

I ASK AND SAY:

No he is part and parcel of that intellectual elite that straddles the fence between heaven and hellat which he strikes out without guilt or confession of his complicity.
I am critical of western psuedo left here Canek Sanchez Guevara has joined embarassingly also Fidel's sister who was in the pay of I believe foreign intelligence making propaganda against Cuba.
Is Cuba perfect absolutely not are the criticism he makes things I would like to see corrected? He makes general assertions and so how can one comment.
I have watched the infiltration of US culture into Cuba via clips on youtube and else where and to tell you the trust if they were in the US they might be but ruffled but dead so much for sex drugs and rock and roll.
In the clips the complaint of rationale was that Cubans liked Latin conga music (eg salsa) better so the Hip Hoppers couldn't make money but that also in their naive view does not examine (not even examine) the extremely exploitative nature of the entertainment promotion field in the US where wrestling is entertainment and boxing the domain of monopolistic gangsters.
So who is Canek Sanchez Guevara kidding in presenting such a limited and narrow a perspective that I could not agree with if he paid me in that he use sentimentality in some attempt to influence people where they have nothing of what people in Cuba may take for granted who knows.
Maybe if Canek starts a revolution or even participates in one we would have reason to listen as such his words are empty and meaningless.

THE BANKRUPTCY OF POST- MARXISM:
SIXTY YEARS OF FAILURES
Regardless of the nature of Marxism and all that is said about Marxism, the
fact of the matter is that decades after the ascent of the “New Left”
constructed from a hodge-podge of pseudo Marxist philosophies that movement is
politically and philosophically bankrupt.
All those who over the last sixty years since the advent of the Cold War who
promised so much but delivered so little the fact that forums such as these is
a testament to those failures:
Failure in discussion, failure in conception, and most of all a failure
organizationally on the left most of all in America (the USA) where as part of
the COINTEL operations of the intelligence establishment there was a concerted
effort to encourage such failures .
Today the left suffers from what can be described as an identity crisis it is
neither what it has been characterized to be, nor what it has promised to be,
or become, and as such it must be asked for what purpose does the Socialist
Left currently exists in what is an old question.
As part of the left throughout the latter part of the 60s &70s and 80s there
has never been an accounting for what has been yes fostered by western
intelligence but yes allowed those who have been thought to have been anything
but traitors to the cause.
To my chagrin I have followed the twists and turns of the so called left, the
sophist rhetorical twists and turns:
Timothy Leary was discovered to be an informer for the F.B.I. (and perhaps the
C.I.A.); much like it became publicly known that George Orwell become (was) an
informer for the British Foreign Office; Jay Lovestone was expelled from the
AFL-CIO for being a C.I.A. agent; Elridge Cleaver became a fundamentalist
Christian, and a Republican; Huey P. Newton was an alcoholic and a drug
addict;
Elaine Brown complicit is such matters makes no mention of what has been
exposed as complicity; Jean-Christophe Mitterand, son of ex-President Francois
Mitterand -was found complicit arms dealing “and of failing to pay tens of
millions of dollars in taxes on profits from the Angola deals, legal or
not.”;

Where the left has often become more of a cult of cults than either a mass
movement, or a vanguard movement, and where its policies have come to be
dictated from the safe confines of academia, slelect communities of relative
“progressive” natures, in what we are asked to support, without regard to
any recollection of history, so as to be doomed to repeat our failures so as
to
be at the beckon call of any two bit influence who deems it appropriate to
self-servingly manipulate such tendencies.
I am a socialist, and currently I am a member of the SPUSA, I have been
affiliated with organizations to the left of the SPUSA, but at this point
decry
there is no mass based progressive, anarchist, socialist, or democratic, or
libertarian movement in America, and will never be one, unless and until such
time as we are freely able to choose and support one.
All other issues become almost irrelevant when the safety and well being of
the
family is concerned if we are under attack in our home we do not wander the
streets, and ramble to support each and every questionable person or issue, we
defend our homes and family!
I accuse the established left in the USA in particular of acting
inappropriately so as to prevent the proper functioning of those
organizations,
members, and leaderships, by acting in a self-serving manner inconducive to
the
protection and defense of the working class, by abandonment of that working
class, for the sake of pursuing the opportunistic goals in support of
nationalism, sectarianism, dogmatism, elitism, demagoguery, un concert with
agents of the ruling class, the ideological basis of those betrayals being
founded in what has come to be known as Post-Marxism, Post-Industrialism,
deconstructionist, and which comes branded time and time again under many
names
to disguise the repetitive nature of such failures.
If one is to examine the resistance against oppression, one need not go far to
notice the slippery slope from which such ideologies and philosophy is
derived.
Yes there were many progressive non-Marxists, but once we deleted those
Marxist principles from out lexicon, the socialist becomes a Mussolini as well
as a Salvador Allende, Ralph Nader and Lydon Larouche, Malcolm X, W.E.B. Du
Bois as well as the Louis Farrakhan, Norman Thomas and Michael Harrington
become twisted into Hillary Clinton, Thurgood Marshall and Justice Thomas.
While those who call themselves leftist can cater to the anti-Semitism that
support Arab nationalism and fundamental Islam but supports the vilification
of
Jewish Nationalism, and Jewish rights to self-determination, as they adopt
corporate legal tactics and don’t offer any real reassurances of their
feasibility, sincerity, integrity, or veracity.
On the issue of Israel without indulging in the common “leftist” practice
of he said she said, they almost never address the issue with examination of
the use of funding by Arab states of the left. Though publicly Libya had
offered one billion dollars to some so called leftists, and we can only
imagine
what occurs in private that is not an issue. Why? Should we be expected to
support this cause and that cause as some leftist leadership are bought and
paid for? Where principles are sacrificed for political contingencies, and
pragmatism.
I think not.
I write to you from the wilderness, of what was America’s industrial
heartland, from a blighted land whose blight extends throughout in many forms.
From what is now America’s rustbelt, where I am the only socialist I know of
within 50 miles, within an 80,000 people population base, the landscape is a
political wasteland and desert. Where the fear of police terror and spying is
pervasive, and freedom is but just another word, in what seems to have no
meaning here.
I can tell you that the policies of the past, have had little if any positive
affect here, as is the case in many other areas of the United States, outside
if the labor movement, (and that is dying) as what is presented is corrupted,
and or corruptible and must end.
For a democratic America, end the fascist terror now!

Recently Yahoo has stated they viewed my blog as containing "Mature Content" "ADULT" this was within twenty-four hours of my posting on censorship and spam.
What is "mature content"?
Yahoo! 360º defines it to include words, photos, or images that are sexually explicit in nature and that may or may not include nudity. Yahoo! 360º sometimes also uses the term "adult-oriented" to mean "mature."
Posting mature content: Yahoo! 360º members 18 years of age or older who post mature content in a blog must mark the entry "mature." The setting for marking an individual entry is on the "compose blog" screen under "Show Options."
If all the content in a member's blog is adult-oriented, the person can set the default for the entire blog to "mature content" on the Blog Settings page.

In the United States where threat of any major corporation being nationalized has not existed in any serious form for many years the dialogue of right wing politics centers on the Republican Party and to a lesser degree the Democratic Party not on a specifically nationalist political party. Nationalism discredited after World War II has not been the central focus of American policy because the central focus has been management, expansion, perpetuation, and use of the power and resources acquired at the end of World War II on behalf of the multi-national corporations which represent those interests.
Here in the US corporations face different degrees of regulation, taxation, inspection, even investigation but never nationalization whereas in other countries often rightist politics centers on some Nationalist Party platform and principles as the government is yoked allegedly for national concerns not international global corporate monopoly interests.
So the dynamics of American political interests often different is the product of a different experience.
Major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have often required subscribers to agree to binding terms which require such subscribers to comply with all laws federal, state, local, and foreign
in what is an impossible legal nightmare that can not every be complied with for to obey the laws of one local despot is to violate the laws of another. In times of war the problems only would get worse as the competition escalates into out right belligerency where such country often demand blind obedience under the harsh penalties of law (death by firing squad).

These ISPs impose demand and receipt of concessions as it suits their purposes regardless of the practical legal aspects they imply to average people but those double standards have been catching up to Yahoo and other ISPs:

When in actually in the United States zealous yahoo administrators have used their administrative power under the guise of enforcing their terms and conditions of service to punitively treat some subscribers without explanation of that service providers actions beyond some vague references to chapter verse and fine print that they themselves can not comply with namely the aforementioned obedience to what they require subscribers to not:

ON THE OTHER HAND YAHOO AND ALL OTHER MAJOR INTERNET PROVIDERS SEEMINGLY CAN NOT CONTROL THE PROLIFERATION OF SPAM ABUSE FROM THOSE COMMERCIAL ENTITIES THEY CATER TO.IN WHICH CASE THEY VIOLATE US LAW BY FACILIATATING AND ACTING IN CONCERT WITH CRIMINALS.
In closing it seems that Internet Services Providers are faced ironically with the paradox of either having to institute consistent policies that support users rights as user friendly in reverting back in policy to the dawn of the internet sans all the legal mumbo jumbo all to present today online which was drafted by their incompetent uncaring callous corporate legal counsel, or to accommodate every country in the world and or be found guilty of those same countries and policies that they cater to.

When prayers are incantations of the supernatural, when prayers are to hallow idols,
When prayers are dictated, and prescribed, when prayers are of form without substance,
When I can no longer drink, when I can no longer run, when I no longer can walk,
When I can no longer have the heart and innocence of a child, When I no longer have joy,

When they do not let me pray, when they tell me where to pray, when they tell me how to pray,
when I can no longer see the shadows, when I can no longer see the light I can no longer praise the light,

When prayer and prayers impose and are imposed on me
Until then I will be a the almighty created and intended me,

Yes, they did it again. The Senate defeated a clean minimum wage increase that is nearly 10 years overdue.
A majority of senators—54—voted to raise the minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $7.25 without handing out more business tax breaks. But the mostly Republican opponents of a clean minimum wage increase filibustered the measure, and it takes 60 votes to end debate on a filibustered bill. Now the Senate will take up a minimum wage bill that includes tax breaks and other giveaways President Bush wants—and it’s expected to pass.
So, once again, millions of minimum wage workers have to wait for a raise while the House (which passed a clean minimum wage increase) and Senate work out the differences between their versions of the legislation.Low-wage workers have been at the back of the line long enough.

Tuesday night, in his State of the Union Address, President Bush claimed the economy “is on the move” and growing. Not for minimum wage workers, that’s for sure. The real buying power of their paychecks is at the lowest point in more than 50 years. Today, a full-time minimum wage worker makes just $206 a week, $10,712 a year—far below the poverty line for even a small family.
Businesses have gotten $300 billion in tax breaks since the last time minimum wage workers got a raise. It’s time to demand a clean minimum wage increase.
